About this piece
John turned to Tide & Trove for a personalised experience, where Daisy’s experience in jewellery design and craftsmanship ensured the creation of a truly exceptional piece. After some very direct hint-dropping (and the helping hand of a very knowledgeable friend) Daisy worked collaboratively with John to bring his vision to life. This process resulted in a stunning 1.3-carat oval solitaire diamond ring, which he proposed to Katie with in the Cairngorms National Park
The Oval solitaire boasts a stunning quality GIA oval diamond, which is enhanced by the use of granulation, a technique that Daisy expertly employs. Granulation involves the delicate application of tiny beads of gold to the surface of the band, creating a textured pattern that adds depth and sophistication to the design. This ancient art form has been used for centuries, and Daisy’s mastery of it ensures the piece is both timeless and unique

Tide & Trove
Daisy Munn is a contemporary jeweller, whose ethereal designs are inspired by texture and light. Daisy’s collections at Tide & Trove are made piece by piece using 100% recycled precious metals, conflict free Ocean Diamonds and unusual, responsibly sourced stones. At her Devon based studio, she obsesses over texture; often combining progressive, original techniques to add intricate detailing, with unique stones which are hand selected and often full of inclusions and interest.

Daisy Munn
Daisy’s work celebrates traditional jewellery making skills and the finest materials. Combining Fairtrade and recycled gold with conflict free Ocean Diamonds and the ancient skill of granulation, her trademark aesthetic has gained recognition in publications such as BRITISH VOGUE.
Daisy is drawn to light and texture. She combines highly polished gold with brushed matte finishes and textured surfaces to make the light dance across her pieces in exciting ways. Daisy combines these techniques with settings that flood her diamonds with light; the outcome is something very special.
Born and raised in Devon, Daisy’s work echoes the organic forms of home; from the damp sand catching the evening sun to the moody skies above the rugged moors.
