The Bespoke Story
"I met this lovely pair at the a Wedding Show, and I’ll be honest, I went there when expecting to meet couples wanting wedding rings, but G&C knew they wanted to get married one day, and fancied having a mooch at the wedding show despite not being officially engaged. And why not! We had a great chat about them and their relationship, and she told me about her dream engagement ring… Gavin snuck one of my business cards away as they left my stand and secretly got in touch with me a few weeks later.
From our chat at the wedding show, we knew Charlotte loved the idea of a subtle pale pink stone with a shaped diamond halo. We customised this gorgeous ring with this stunning brilliant cut morganite that Gavin selected from a range of stones that I sent him photos and videos of.
The best bit? Charlotte has followed me on social media since we met at the wedding show so I’ve had to keep this one completely secret so not to raise any suspicion. On the very day her engagement ring arrived at her house (unbeknown to her!), she messaged me in response to a poll in my stories saying how she hoped that Gavin would get in touch with me when (if!) he ever proposed! His proposal on a romantic glamping weekend away in North Yorkshire took her completely by surprise – she had no idea at all.
I am in love with this ring and I’m so happy for Gavin and Charlotte!"
Halo Shaped Engagement Rings
Renowned for their stunning visual appeal, halo rings feature a central gemstone encircled by smaller diamonds, enhancing the ring's brilliance and size. This design first gained popularity in the Georgian era and saw a resurgence in the Victorian period, symbolising romance and elegance. Today's halo engagement rings blend this historical charm with modern craftsmanship.

Jodie Gearing
Jodie is passionate about the stories attached to the commissions she designs. Our resident designer takes pride in working to each client’s individual brief and can turn her hand to any style from intricate pieces, to slick and contemporary designs.
Jodie was born and raised in the Bedfordshire countryside. She had an innate love for Art and Design so pursued this avenue by moving to Canterbury to complete a Foundation Course at The University for the Creative Arts. It was here that she discovered a love of metal work and jewellery when she experimented with mixed media. Paper, fabric, masking tape and paint turned to plastics and then copper, silver and gemstones – she had discovered jewellery design!
The next steps were a degree in Goldsmithing, Silversmithing and Jewellery at The University for the Creative Arts in Rochester where she won several awards and bursaries for her creative designs. After graduating in 2009, she worked for a bespoke jeweller for a year. Here, she fell in love with the stories of the clients she worked with and relished the education part of the job – passing on knowledge of precious stones, metals and design to customers to enable them to make an informed decision.
